PhotoQt cannot open JXL files encoded with the "Modular" option? #27

To convert, I used the program xl-converter; the source files were PNG. Other viewers open these files without problems.

Thanks for the report!

Some quick questions:

  • What platform are you using (Windows, Ubuntu, ...)?
  • What version are you running?
  • How did you install that version?

GhostScript installed.

Otherwise everything works. Images encoded in "VarDCT" open normally.

Thanks! Would you mind sending me an example photo that fails for you? I converted a PNG to JXL with the modular (and also VarDCT) setting and both work. Also, what happens when you try to open such an image, I assume you see the "sad face" error image?

After you open PhotoQt and attempt to load one of those images, could you open the log/debug messages (default shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D) and paste here whatever messages you got leading up to attempting to open that image?
