If you don’t know already, BrightScript is also designed for, and originally designed for Roku’s BrightSign ( a digital signage system ), hence its name, and they later branched out into their own company and added features like HTML5 and interactivity. Sample code is available, however I recommend you implement the legacy BrightSign sample code and work your way up.
I have worked with BrightSign briefly on my previous job, but I basically used their windows client, not actually programming in BrightScript. Will see how far the implementations are at this moment.
