CentOS 8 was released yesterday (https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2019-September/023449.html).
Any chance of adding it?

not yet, the required minimal images haven't been published for centos 8

I asked @monstermunchkin to look into adding centos 8 yesterday and that's when he noticed that some of the artifacts we need just don't exist yet

If this image is the minimal ISO it sounds like it's under discussion at this point:

"It's under discussion and will depend largely on how difficult it is."

Yup, that's what we use as the base for distrobuilder to generate centos images.

The only other alternative we'd have is to download the 6GB+ image, which would take quite a while and be extremely wasteful just to build a tiny container image out of it.

I have seen that new images have appeared for Centos 8 in https://us.images.linuxcontainers.org. Thank you very much for the work.
