lxde-continued: first steps

This is a roadmap for restaring the LXDE development after the original developers abandoned the project.

Goals and objectives

• Formulate the goals and objectives of the project.

Infrastructure

• Fork the repos from the original ones.
• Run a site for the project.
• Run a forum for the project.
• Replace URLs in the sources.

Code

• Prepare maintenance releases x.y.(z+1):
  • Review and merge bug-fix pull requests from the original repos.
  • Examine the issue lists and fix as much as possible.
  • Make maintenance releases for fixed packages.
• Work on the next minor release x.(y+1).0.
  • Make a road map for the release.
  • Review and merge feature pull requests from the original repos.
