current_user is nil, request headers are all upcased and prefixed with HTML_ #611

Despite sending my headers in the required format, request.headers is showing them formatted like this:

"HTTP_ACCESS_TOKEN"=>"QnN7p6TZT3Mli9Dqmm5Vbw"

Am I doing something terribly wrong?

Completely unrelated problem X_X

I was using JSON API resources, and therefore not inheriting from my Application Controller. Doh.
