Aggregate device in macOS

Has anyone worked with Aggregate Devices created in Audio MIDI Setup on macOS? From what I can see, miniaudio correctly reports the total number of channels in the aggregate device in the nativeDataFormats part of ma_device_info. However, when the device is configured with channels set to 0 with the intention of using the device’s native channel count, the reported number of channels after the device is initialized appears to match that of the first sub-device in the aggregate only. Even if channels is forced to the correct number when the aggregate device is configured, the data seems to come only from the channels in its first sub-device.

I think this would be related to this bug report from ages ago: #312

I'm not much of an Apple user and I just don't know how to properly address this issue. The ticket sat there with no response from the community so I just closed it. Happy to listen to advice from the community about this one though.
