Openstack Setup

Detail of openstack setup on Ubuntu Server

Install OpenStack - Nova

Install Nova

apt-get install -y nova-api nova-cert nova-conductor nova-consoleauth nova-novncproxy nova-scheduler python-novaclient nova-compute nova-console

Create Database

mysql -u root -p

create database nova;
grant all privileges on nova.* to 'nova'@'%' identified by 'Pa55w0rd';
flush privileges;
quit

Register Nova in Keystone

keystone user-create --name=nova --pass=Pa55w0rd

keystone user-role-add --user=nova --tenant=service --role=admin

keystone service-create --name=nova --type=compute --description="OpenStack Compute"

keystone endpoint-create --service=nova --publicurl=http://ubuntu:8774/v2/%\(tenant_id\)s --internalurl=http://ubuntu:8774/v2/%\(tenant_id\)s --adminurl=http://ubuntu:8774/v2/%\(tenant_id\)s

Update Configuration

vi /etc/nova/nova.conf

rpc_backend = rabbit
rabbit_host = localhost
rabbit_port = 5672
rabbit_use_ssl = false
rabbit_userid = guest
rabbit_password = Pa55w0rd

my_ip = 192.168.0.2
vncserver_listen = 192.168.0.2
