I ran a dist-upgrade - 87 packages were updated.

On reboot I get portrait mode and no hildon desktop (just the applets: Clock, Profile, connection, Brightness). No background image. No way to start apps.

I can click and bring-up the phone profile selection.

Can't bring up internet connection.

Can't bring up a terminal.

Can't ssh-in.

leste-nodesktop

/var/log/messages - looks normal to me, comparing to older bootlogs. hildon-home and hildon-desktop got started..

This is the second time I've seen this. Any ideas?

i got the same sometime around that time. but then just backed up home, and reflashed latest image to the card, and it worked fine.
