I need to add a user story to this ticket. The idea was to allow people to sign up for a GitHub account using the GitHub API if they didn't have one already.

As a visitor to the site
So that I can understand what coding is about
I would like to be able to sign up to Github

This could be before they even get to picking an OS - its one of the fundamentals of coding.

Playing Devil's Advocate, what's wrong with just providing a link to Github?

Nothing wrong at all. To answer the ticket it works and its a viable MVP. However it's also a chance for someone to play around further with the Github API and add a skill to their toolkit :)
