According to Tony's notes in Discord about my project:

  • DynamoDB Table Item -- i wouldn't personally manage the table item in Terraform. Instead, within the Lambda function, i would check for the existence of the table item, and if it didn't exist, then I would create it. Fundamentally, IaC is meant to manage immutable things, and the items within a DynamoDB table are inherently mutable (meaning: they change, and it's on purpose)
