jupyter lab support

Thanks for this amazing software. However, it appears that the plot functionality only works for jupyter notebook, and will not work for jupyter lab. When trying to execute "show" command for function plotting, it will simply fail with an error message saying "error displaying widget module not found". Any possibility to correct this issue? Thanks!

unfortunately this seems a limitation from K3D (see K3D-tools/K3D-jupyter#178 ) so i'm not sure when they would be able to fix it..

Thanks for your help! Now K3D-tools/K3D-jupyter/issues/178 has been closed. Just wondering what is the possibility of resolving this issue? Jupyter lab seems so much better in functionality compared with jupyter notebook.

@jacobdang thanks, to be honest I have no experience with jupyter lab, if I try to run a vtkplotter example without trying to embed the graphics it works ok, if I try with k3d I get no output window:

I'm not sure what are the steps to set things up correctly, any advice from @artur-trzesiok @marcinofulus ?

Perhaps this will help - in this repo binder link works with jupyterlab https://github.com/marcinofulus/jupyter4edu

In order to run lab, replace tree with lab once mybinder is started.
