Indent outdent keyboard shortcuts not working

Even though the tooltip mentions Tab and Shift+Tab keyboard shortcuts to indent and outdent respectively, they don't work. I tried pressing tab, it does nothing. Tried to paste in a tab character at the beginning of a line and pressing shift+tab, but didn't work.

Tried in Firefox web browser if it's important.

Steps to reproduce

• Type something
• Take cursor at the beginning of a line
• Press tab or shift+tab

Current behavior

Does nothing

Expected behavior

Indent or outdent the line

The steps I mentioned are for basic implementation. For my use case as a programmer, there should ideally be a support for indenting and outdenting multiple selected lines. That should also allow to keep and edit code easily.
