Possibly have separate names for selecting and searching. Or, perhaps split up things in search results.

Can you elaborate further on this? Not too sure what you mean by having separate names for selecting and searching.

In the search results, a different name could be displayed than when selecting (many of the CPUs have names that don't make sense out of context, such as just a number like 740). I'm not totally sure how I want to do this and I wouldn't recommend working on this issue currently.

I've given this some thought on my end, it would be pretty east for me to add another data field to the database files that would list the full name of the SKU. Something like Search name: Athlon II X4 631. And then that could be displayed in the search instead of the current preview information.

or maybe we could automatically add series name before the normal name
