Describe the Enhancement:

[MD010] Hard tabs should have a "consistent" option, so that if a file is indented using only tabs that's not an error, but mixing tabs and spaces for indentation would be an error.

It would be useful if it worked with its already existing option around disabling/enabling this rule for code blocks, either it should be possible to still disable this rule for code blocks and also set it to "consistent" mode, or even better, I would like an option to only allow hard tabs in code blocks (as long as tabs are consistently used).

Impacted Rules:

[MD010] Hard tabs

Describe the Need:

Some of my markdown files include Go and Makefile code. Go code and Makefiles are always indented with tabs. Makefiles indented with spaces won't work. The rest of the code samples in my repo use spaces. So I really want to lint for when a file mixes tabs and spaces, not just eliminate all tabs.

Current Alternative

Disabling the rule

Can We Help You Implement This?:

no
