On Android L preview - the icon color does not change

Hello. I compiled from source. On Android 4.4.4 it works fine. But on Android L preview device (Nexus 7 2013) the color of the icon ignores the selection.

It is a mystery to me how the Android 4.4 color change works ;) As I can find no reference to the color picker in the service. The preference is never saved and never loaded.

I added explicit code to load and save the color preference, fork is here:
