Select a range of items via a command on the first/last item in the range

Currently you have to hold core.select.move.down key and stop at the end (or use a mouse), but for large ranges the better workflow would be if you could

• execute any regular selection command on the first item like
• then pagedown/scroll to the last item
• execute a command on the last item like core.select.last
