I am having some issues when using the text-to-speech feature inside a moodle lesson.

When using text-to-speech in the AT Bar, I am getting a strange sound whenever it comes to the end of a sentence. Is says something like "a sir conflicts" at the end of the sentence, before going to the next sentence.

It is also using a different voice than selected. I get the proper voice if I select text outside the lesson box. It is slow and very understandable. If I select the text inside the lesson box, it is a female sounding voice, very computer like, and improperly pronounces things, like America (EYE-mayr-ih-kah). It is as if it is using two different text-to-speech functions.

Hello,
This may be an issue with ATBar itself, rather than with the block. Please can you try using ATBar from their website (https://www.atbar.org/) and see if the problem still occurs? If so, you can report the issue to them here: https://github.com/AccessAtECS/AtBar/issues

Hi Mark,

Using the ATBar directly still has the strange period/space problem (Saying “a circumflex”), but the voice is the same I selected, unlike via the accessibility block which changes it to a much faster, female-type voice.

Hi,
The accessibility block is great, but the text-to-speech tool of the AT bar seemingly speaks with English pronunciation rules only.
Is there any way to configure it to use another language (eg, spanish or french) for the text-to-speech function?

Closing as this is an issue with ATBar, not with the block.
