I need to device a practical, scalable comment system for the static blog. If I need any dynamic scripts, I'd like to restrict them to one file to keep the static ideal.
Perhaps I could process the comments using a PHP script (ubiquitous), then download the approved comments and commit them to the repository and rebuild. The PHP script could create a tar.gz file of RST formatted comments with proper generate.py metadata that could simply be extracted and committed with no further intervention.
