Caja can switch between using a single to open files and folders and a double click. It defaults to the latter. However, the option for this is not working. It is always set to using a single click, but Caja still uses a double click. When you change the option, close the Preferences window and open it again, it has changed back.

With caja 1.6.1-1+precise the mentioned bug is back again.
The option is always set on a single click, but caja uses a double click.
When I try to change the option, caja crashes.
I think caja crashes everytime when you don't click another option of the preferences first.
The option for the executable text files doesn't work, too.
Oh I see. Sorry for any inconvenience. I thought this was in the update I received this morning from the ppa. I'm new to MATE and github and wanted to help finding bugs. I will keep my feet still. Thank you for your great job.
