[MaterialDatePicker] Can't change status bar color

Description: When an app displays Fullscreen MaterialDatePicker the status bar color is always black. This issues is noticable even in the Material Android Catalog App (https://material.io/develop/android/docs/catalog-app).
I tried changing the status bar color using android:statusBarColor and android:windowLightStatusBar but it didn't have any effect.

Expected behavior: Status bar color respects theme of the app or can be at least overridden in themes/styles.

Android API version: I tested it on API 30 and 23.
