Hi,
Matomo is installed in /var/www/matomo/piwik and config.ini.php is located in the config directory under piwik
But, when i run the importer, it says "Fatal error: the configuration file/var/www/config/config.ini.php could not be read."
so the path where its searching is wrong and also what permissions does that file need to have..
currently its set to 644 with www-data as the owner.

I'm having the same problem. the --url= parameter is ignored, so whatever I put here it looks in the same (wrong) place for the authentication token
EDIT: I've worked around this by passing the user/pass values, but still rather frustrating. For anyone else with the same problem, this is the command I'm using to pull shoutcast data into matomo;
./import_logs.py --url=http://myurl.com --login=username --password=password --log-format-name=shoutcast --idsite=1 /path/to/shoutcast2/logs/sc_w3c.log
