I love Matomo’s Dashboard, but recently when I found “Jetpack Stats - All-time Insights”, I thought this must be brought into the Matomo too.

We must have this on the page: Visitors> Overview page.
Currently, we should hover over the chart to find details like “visits”. Also, to get month-wise or year-wise stats we have to change “Period” from the date-range option.

Bringing Jetpack Stats’ All-time Insights - - - into Matomo can make things a lot easier and cool to look at and have a grasp of the entire website in a quick time.

Here is a screenshot from the Jetpack Stats’ All-time Insights of a website to refer.

P.S. I was asked to create this thread here by one of the Mods @MatomoForum - Philippe(heurteph-ei)

I hope this feature becomes a reality inside the Matomo.
Thanks.

Hi @unreal-nfs and thanks for creating the enhancement issue. It looks like a handy overview of the data so I'll pass this onto the product team for their consideration and prioritisation. Thank you!

Looks like a fantastic overview, perhaps we could repurpose the Cohorts table element for this so that it allows plotting various different metrics.

It'd take a little bit of thinking how this should work when looking at different time periods (e.g. what does it show when you've selected 15 March 2022-23 June 2023, full months and you just get "half values" for the first and last month?), but it could be a quite interesting visual.

To better understand the priority of this, can you (and any community members reading this) kindly let us know which important questions you currently cannot answer that you will be able to answer with this graphic?

Thanks in advance!

When "half values" are chosen to be displayed "half values" should be displayed --- I think the user needs to keep those in mind.

As for what this "Alltime Insights" does mainly is ===> Give the "ENTIRE" history of a website to be grasped by anybody in under 5 seconds! No other chart/graphics can do this presently in most of the Analytic software.

Also, as I mentioned earlier --- currently, we should hover over the chart to find details like “visits” in numbers. Also, to get month-wise or year-wise stats we have to change “Period” from the date-range option.

All these shortcomings can be solved right away with the above visualization.

This above visual presentation is phenomenal.
Thanks for showing interest.

For expectation management: our development team is working on a number of other scheduled improvements at the moment, so we're unlikely to pick up this request in the short term. However, we always appreciate community participation and if someone were to submit a pull request for this feature, then this feature could be made available a lot sooner.

Alternatively, a community plugin could be created to add this functionality in a shorter timeframe.
