In the front-end we don't have a slider or something similar for changing the tick duration. Is this still a feature we would like to have?
The API functionality supports this feature, so it would purely be adding a slider to the frontend.

@wiardjorritsma @jwaa what is your opinion on this?

I guess we can add it. It would function as a nice tool for us and other's to test MATRX's speed and debug behavior. In the future I would like to have such interactions configurable anyway. Such that a simple boolean can turn it off (e.g. for an experiment).

Thoughts on a range? 0 to 10s or so?
