Update Data

Current fundamental data only goes through 2019. Need to filter and upload data from 2020-2021.

Hi @mattbev, I like the project, but is there any way to update the data, or could you point me towards a resource where I can learn to build a database using your mappers. I have been using Compustat in the past, but it has failed me, and I would like to try and build my own dataset. I know it will be tough, but I have no option. Thanks for your resource btw!!

Hi @firmai. Yes, there are existing plans to (1) update the data to include more recent entries and (2) overhaul this repository. However, as of now, I am unable to provide an estimate of when this will be completed.

In the meantime, if you are so inclined, you could attempt to use scripts/update.py to locally download and format the DERA data, and scripts/upload.py to upload it to an AWS RDS database.
