Summary

Documentation does not work as-is or is confusing if postgresql is running on same host

Steps to reproduce

Just follow the instructions for postgresql and hosted on same server

Expected behavior

mattermost test shows it is listening at 8035 as in the docs

Observed behavior (that appears unintentional)

an error message pops up. First "Error: failed to load configuration: failed to load: invalid config: Config.IsValid: model.config.is_valid.site_url.app_error" and when site is changed to http (instead of the suggested https) than the database connection is refused. This can be solved by suggesting a localhost address instead of the hostname-ip option. At least when postgres is hosted on the same

Possible fixes

Under the header 'Installing mattermost server', under 7.2 point out to use localhost if on same machine, and at 8, indicate to use http for now

Thanks!

Thanks for mattermost! I have to evaluate it yet, but thusfar it seems an excellent tool!
