You’ll need 2 different mattermost accounts on the same server, open in 2 windows (or, find a friend!)
Person 1 (P1)
Person 2 (P2)
Open a DM conversation in both windows between P1 and P2
Have P1 start typing, until P2 can see the typing indicator
When P2 can see the typing indicator, paste something (text, file, etc) into the text box while P1 continues to type
Expected behaviour: P1 is typing... remains the same colour
Actual behaviour: P1 is typing... turns red, as if the paste you did caused an error. It’s the same colour as the error you get when a file upload fails, so looks a little weird.
I can't reproduce this bug.
i.e. i cannot see the color change in the typing indicator when other person pastes something or attaches a file while first person continues to type.
i mean it stays the same color
Hi! sorry @AbhinavVihan , I didn't see your comment until today.
I've seen this happening on the right-hand sidebar, and the contents make the text input grow. usually you have to scroll a bit to the bottom to be able to notice.
Sicne I replied to you way too long after your question, let me know if you still want to work on it, or if you don't have the time. Also feel free to add any other questions and I'll try to answer them ASAP.
