+1 for this. Right now, I'm using two different autocomplete fields (one for a non-map input), and I get the JS error about including the Google Maps API multiple times. If I could just hide the map and still have the autocomplete, I could ditch the other autocomplete.

This plugin has been great, solved my problem almost perfectly, thank you very much for releasing it.
Just one issue, I don't want the map to be displayed.
Perhaps you did it because originally this wasn't allowed but they are ok with it now:

I will solve this now with some CSS rules but could be a nice finishing touch for the plugin.
