vim escape sequences etc. error

ConEmu build: 230723 x64
OS version: Windows 10 x64
Used shell version (Far Manager, git-bash, cmd, powershell, cygwin, whatever): cygwin64 (latest, updated all 2023-07-23)

Problem description

Hello,

With latest version 230723 vim is not working; problem must be with conemu, because

1. without any change it works with conemu 221218 right back to 210816 (and probably older)
2. the problem also arises when ssh-ing into a remote host and starting vim
3. I have also tried it with conemuz and console and cmd and it works there
4. To make it clearer I have provided 2 screenshots

Steps to reproduce

1. start cygwin64/bash
2. vim (typing vim)

Actual results

garbled output, replace mode, when typing, insertion of more control characters.

Expected results

vim showing its startscreen and working as in previous versions
