The pyredmine project uses the same install path as python-redmine, and some of the files conflict, creating some very strange errors when trying to use one or the other.

You are right. I added a section in the docs about that. You have to uninstall PyRedmine before installing Python Redmine and everything will work as expected. Also I don't see a reason to have both packages installed because Python Redmine provides all the features that PyRedmine has plus many more.
Thanks for the docs update. I don't see a reason to have both either, it's just that I'm converting a tool that used one over to the other, and when people update they'll get a new dependency, but no way to automatically uninstall the pre-existing pyredmine. It'll cause the need for manual interaction.
Not a deal breaker for my tool as there are very few users right now, just something to be aware of if any larger tool wants to make the switch.
