Just throwing it out there. Was wondering if you might be able to help fix this addon? Its called Daddylive. Some links no longer seem to be working and not sure why. The website it sources from is https://dlhd.sx/. The live tv channels section points to https://dlhd.sx/24-7-channels.php. For example, Abc USA works fine on the website, but doesnt work on the addon. https://dlhd.sx/stream/stream-51.php. Also the Live sports section no nonger works in the addon, but thats due to a change on the website. Just wanted to see if you might be willing to help. THANKS!!
Heres the addon:

Fyi, daddylive was updated to v2.6 a few hours ago, so check if it fixes your issue.
And please, next time open the issue at the repo which does host the addon!

Fyi, daddylive was updated to v2.8 a few hours ago, so check if it fixes your issue. And please, next time open the issue at the repo which does host the addon!

Who are you? I obviously asked here because I was hoping someone like mbebe could actually take a swing at it. 2.8 still fails on live tv channels.

In general, I am a user who cares about the addons he uses (and the apps too, regardless of os or toolkit). That is why I help as much as I can with bug reports etc, because some stuff, e.g. python, are a beyond my understanding. If I can fully understand and fix something, I usually mention the way or patch it myself. I also get informed daily on updates etc, that is why I posted on your issue here the moment I saw daddylive got an update.

Being such a user means I have (strict) standards and, for the devs whose work I respect, I do not demand stuff that is outside their responsibilities. However, there are devs I do not like because they have practicaly abandoned their broken addons and instead of making an announcement or something, they actually ignore their users, even the ones like me who make proper issue reports that will help and not a simple "the addon is broken, what do i do" . I can talk for hours for such stupid users, so lets stop it here.

Long story short, daddylive is not an addon of mbebe but of thecrew, so you should ask him/them about it. And because there are other competent devs like mbebe, please do not ask them too. If you google long enough, you will come accross thecrew's secondary github repo that has issues enabled, you will see that there is already an open one about daddylive, where they discuss that the real issue is some encryption that makes the addon fail. Please post your questions there. A log would also help.

Thank you for reading, have a nice day :)

Yea, ok. But I never "demanded" anything, so read again. And just because a dev somewhere made an addon for a website does not mean he is the only dev that can do it. He obviously is having an issue figuring it out, so what's the problem with asking another dev like mbebe if he could help? So if you cant help, then why bother responding with your opinions here?

I have a broken addon which scrapes a single site and whose dev has practically abandoned it since 2021. Instead of making a proper announcement on his twitter (= the only real way to contact him), he retweets garbage about nfts, coins and covid being fake. Do you think I should ask mbebe (or any other competent dev) for support?

Sure, no harm in asking right? He could simply say Im not interested, or he might help. Totally up to the dev. You cant know if you dont ask. But it seems like you have your own supposed "Rules". mbebe has been VERY helpful in the past with similar situations. Mind your own business.

Let me put it another way then, to help you understand. A couple of years ago I wanted to fix a bash script so that it worked again, so I asked a member of a forum I am on to help me. He replied

"I accept help requests, but not debugging requests. Welcome to the world of data, on which it (= the data) is created/produced by others, but you get to be the 'lucky' one that has to solve a problem created by them (= the devs), because they (= the devs) do not follow standards that they (= the devs) created/set themselves. I come across such issues a lot of times and it consumes MY time which is not available for them (= the devs). So yea, sorry, I can't help you."

Dude, go away. I wasnt asking for your help or looking for you opinions. I dont know why your wasting your "valuable" time trying to moderate somebodys elses Github support. LOL

Thank-you!! Never was looking to interact with you anyways, lol. Now if you could just delete your useless posts on this thread also, that would be the icing on the cake!

Daddylive has reached 2.8 with 3 updates in less than a week since I posted the above.
Are you sure it still does not work?

I deleted what you asked for and I will delete these less relevant posts about the updates. once you delete yours.

I see you have closed the issue. Does it work now? I not joking, I am asking out of genuine interest.
If so, I can delete the rest of my messages, you can delete yours (leave only the top one) and call it a day.
