  • pytoshop version: 1.2.1
  • Python version: 3.10.9
  • Operating System: Windows 10

Description

It seems that on Windows the encoding in pytoshop.util.read_pascal_string, write_pascal_string, and pascal_string_length should be the local one (locale.getpreferredencoding()), not utf8, otherwise the layer names get corrupted

I tested on my computer with Chinese (cp936) locale and opened the PSD using Photoshop 25
