leave audio in 5.1 #13
Comments
The script does not downsample to 2.0 if you have a greater number of channels in your source video file. I suspect you are looking at the section of the script that creates the dual channel audio stream when the ios-audio option is enabled. With that option enabled (because iOS doesn't seem to like anything greater than AAC stereo) the script will create an additional stereo audio track in AAC stereo, along with the regular AAC 5.1. So you will end up with 2 audio tracks in the output file, 1 stereo, and 1 greater than stereo, for every audio track in the source file that has more than 2 channels. It sounds like the behavior you are looking for is the default behavior. Just leave the ios-audio option off and you should be good. Let me know if this is what happened so I can close the issue. |
I think you can close this issue. |
If you use my script and have sickbeard do manual post-processing for all those TV series it will tag them for you and skip the conversion if they're already in the right format. As far as the movies go (mine won't work for that due to CouchPotato limitations) you could use a program called MetaX. |
Hi
im looking to use your script, but i see that during the mkvtomp4 script it forces audio to stereo, is there a way i can keep it in what ever format it is, so if it is 5.1 it will convert it to aac 5.1 or if its in stereo it will convert it to 2.0 aac
thanks
