Can some kind of API be built into this tool, so that users can trigger and send commands to the assistant via an API, such as REST.

Hi @ameer1234567890, that seems to be a fairly reasonable feature request. Maybe this will be added to the plan for later. Also, I think a CLI tool will be a better option than a REST API. Please share more of your thoughts on this feature.

You are spot on. A CLI would be better than a REST API, especially since this is Windows only.

You are spot on. A CLI would be better than a REST API, especially since this is Windows only.

But actually it is a multi-platform application as the project contains build instructions for Linux and macOS based system (I am running it on Ubuntu).
I think that the cli tool developed for Windows would also work for other OSes without any major tweaking. (not sure as I am new to javascript)

This feature will be worked upon after the release of v1.0.0-rc.2.

@Melvin-Abraham I started playing around with using a gassist protocol for this purpose. It's by no means "final" but here's my first attempt: #236
