master should not be used anymore, therefore i propose to rename this artifact.
The following alternative names come in mind:

  • customer-api
  • root-data
  • root-api
  • main-api

Please add additional ideas.

I would like if the new name had the metal- prefix like all our other essential control plane components. Otherwise, it looks like this API has a very special role, which I think it does not have in relation to the other components.

  • metal-root
  • metal-root-api
  • metal-customer
  • metal-customer-api

I'd be ok with metal-customer-api. Probably not the fanciest stuff, but the API's responsibilities should be clear for all of us?

What about metal-tenant-api because it holds tenant settings, projects and limits?
