It would be lovely to have a simple extension of markdown which lets us embed vega/vega-lite specs, and maybe provides latex support.

I have a preliminary implementation of this which has been pushed to Clojars [metasoarous/oz "1.5.0-SNAPSHOT"]. Check out the read and from-markdown functions.

Finally settled on oz/load for API endpoint here. This is now resolved as of 283c747 and to some extent 7a16f66.
