Can't compile for RHEL6

I can't compile gimp-dds 3.0.1 for RHEL6.

Can it be because Gimp version 2.6.9?

The code should still be compatible with libgimp 2.6.x.  I don't think your 
GIMP version is the issue.  It appears that your version of GCC (4.4) doesn't 
work with the new vector code in gimp-dds 3.x, based on the attached compiler 
output.  Not sure what can be done on RHEL6, as it and your GCC version are 
pretty dated.  I do know that the code will compile fine with GCC 4.7 and up.
