Only 8bits are used - but this seems to be way more stable and consistent with most terminal applications.
It would be possible to add e.g. DEC Graphics mode chars, or the original DEC multinational character set (Which differs only in three chars to CP1252, the current default)
Yet I didn't need that.

Added several codepages, and the possibility to change them on the fly via keycombinations.
Other codepages could be added by modifying charmaps.h, and config.in.
Codepage tables can be found at, e.g. https://www.haible.de/bruno/charsets/conversion-tables/
