Icon theme resets after reboot

This may be an issue that is already reported however those seemed to be related to Wayland.

I'm currently on Xorg, whenever I have the option; Extend to screen edge enabled my icons reset after reboot to the default (adwaita). After tinkering with the dash to dock settings I saw that my set icon theme returned after the icons on the dash shrank in size.

This issue only appeared after I saved my Nvidia configuration file which has "Force full composition pipeline" enabled.
