Help with extended splash not closing

Thanks for a great sample/reference

in my app i am trying to do what is done when skip login is set where you navigate to she mainshellview from the extended splash.

i am pretty much doing the same as in the sample.
But in my app the splash never sloses/dissapears

i can share the code too if anyone is willing to have a look

I have compared this to the working sample and I honestly cannot see what the problem is
