[FancyZones] Profile Switching should move and resize windows to fit new profile

Description of the new feature / enhancement

Profile switching should resize and move windows already snapped in the current profile to the new applied profile when you change it with a shortcut.

You could link profiles which does this action so you have or link specific zones, having the same number of zone (zone 1, zone 2...) could be automatically used aswell.

Scenario when this would be used?

This would work when you have already set zones and snaps and change the fancyzone profile with a shortcut, this should trigger it to move and resize the windows to fit zones in the newly loaded profile. zone 1 > zone 1 between profiles.

This way you could change between different workflows and windows over time, this would also open up for many more new usecases people could get creative with like having a main large window that you rotate with.

Hi, I would love to see this feature as well. I change layout quite frequently on ultrawide monitor.

I thought its covered by this setting, but its not (or the setting does not work, as I tried to change the currently applied layout and window size stayed the same - running 0.47.0 in non-admin mode).

I, too, thought that this issue would be handled by this setting. Likewise, I see that it doesn't.

Personally, this is my number 1 wanted feature for FancyZones at this point. I have a laptop with 1080p and a monitor that I dock it to that is 1440p. When I undock to go to meetings and then come back, it would be absolutely nasty if windows would resize within their zone numbers. Even better would be the option to name the zones in the layout. That way if you happen to set the zones up in the wrong order, it wouldn't matter what the number was. They'd just resize by zone name.
