Area(s) with issue?

Steps to reproduce

The option to download and install the latest update is not working - when I select "Try again to download & install" in the General tab it keeps failing with the message "An error occurred trying to install this update". I've also tried downloading the latest version and manually installing it but that doesn't seem to work either.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Powertoys to update to the latest version

❌ Actual Behavior

Update fails

Hi @JonathanThompsonNIHR
You are using an old version of Windows 10 1909 that is not supported anymore.
Latest version of PowerToys require at least Windows 10 2004.

What about computers that are managed by the company? We are stuck in version 1909 and I don't expect an update before several months.

I have the same problem. Is there a way to stop PowerToys reminding me of the updates since I can't update at the moment?

1909 has been released in November 2019 and has been supported until may 2021.

As a user I understand being left out from PowerToys updates can frustrating but it's an old release in end of life.
As a company (and user 😅) I will be worried about security updates.

Incrementing the minimum version to 2004 was required in order to support new features.

@davidegiacometti Mind if you clarify what the "new" features are? I'm currently using version 1909 and won't be able to update to newer versions because I'm using a very specific kind of software that doesn't work with anything newer than that.
Also, is it possible to bypass OS version check in the installer?

@logoffon don't know exactly what are these features, but during the development of PowerToys the required version of Windows has been increased many times.
It's not just an installer check and AFAIK it can't be bypassed since it's tight to the compiled programs.
