Steps to reproduce

  1. Open File Explorer
  2. Use the Peek shortcut keys to preview any video or audio file.
  3. Close the preview window

✔️ Expected Behavior

The media playback notification should clear when preview window is closed.

❌ Actual Behavior

Media playback notification keeps showing even after preview window is closed long ago. There's no way to remove it.

To add to this: it seems that once you hit this bug, the "Play/Pause" media key will start playing the video from the beginning. You hear the audio as usual, but the video remains hidden.

Fixed in 0.71 release of PowerToys. aka.ms/installpowertoys

This hasn't been fixed in 0.71 still show powertoys peek in sound mixer
