Steps to reproduce

1. Create new key on host
2. Enter new key on remote and connect
3. Attempt to rearrange order of machines by dragging and dropping on host or remote

✔️ Expected Behavior

1. After rearranging devices on host, remote machine should update to match host device layout
2. After rearranging devices on remote, host machine should update to match remote device layout

Layout on both host and remote should be the same!

❌ Actual Behavior

1. Host and Remote machines show different layouts.
2. Remote machine layout seems to take precedence.
3. After attempting to rearrange layouts on either machine, changes are not maintained
4. Both machines seem to think they are the host and want to be in device location 2

Clicking the "refresh connections" button seems to reset the layout. Whichever machine you hit "refresh layout" on seems to take priority in device location 2 (second from left).

exact same problem on my setup too though mine is 3 machine setup

Mine always reset back to the row layout. I can't get them to do the grid at all. I don't know if it's because one of them is my work laptop and maybe something funky setup in the group policies.

I updated to 0.71 and this still isn't resolved. The machines will refresh connections and each machine will move itself to the second-from-left position.

@eaglexc13 can you please try removing %localappdata%\Microsoft\PowerToys\MouseWithoutBorders\settings.json on all machines and try reconnecting again?

Hi, is anyone having this problem again? I'm using 0.77 on both devices, but they still both think they're in location 2
