Cannot use ctrl+space in other software when using Peek

Able to preview file only when selected a file in File Explorer

ctrl+space is disabled

This issue also took me by surprise. Ctrl+Space stopped working in Visual Studio (autocomplete) for me; I didn't even realize the Peek feature had been added or that that was its default shortcut, and I even tried disabling a few VS extensions before I found the culprit.

Is it possible for Peek to ignore the shortcut when an Explorer window doesn't have focus?
