I would like to see keyboard mapping distinguish between different keyboards and not just make the mappings valid for all.
Scenario when this would be used?
My notebook has an English keyboard, I use a German keyboard layout and have remapped some keys with PowerToys, so that I can enter the missing characters.
Now I have an additional external keyboard connected which I use most of the time (but not always). Unfortunately, the adjustments made in the keyboard manager also apply to it, which is annoying and leads to incorrect inputs.
Also, if there is a distinction between devices, you could also connect a Numpad via USB and customize the buttons as shortcuts for Photoshop, Premiere, etc.
