@paulviks0x30 and @yeung66, can you please elaborate on the type of applications that you are searching for. When you search for the applications on the start menu does it say run command or App in the subtitle? When I try to repro the issue, the shortcuts which say App show up (eg: 7-zip)

However, the one's which are shown as run command don't unless we add the action keyword (which is by design). To search for such apps, we need to search using > gzip or > cmder etc. Please let me know if this helps or if you're still unable to search/launch apps.

agreed, we need to know if this is an environment path search issue or something else. @paulviks0x30 and @yeung66, can you tell us what the app was via scoop you installed?

typora, motrix, cmder and everything. It still doesn't work after upgrading to v0.18.2

@yeung66, It would be great if you could provide some more information by answering the following questions.

  1. Were these applications installed after installing powerToys or before?
  2. Do these applications show up on the start menu?

I tried to install typora using scoop install typora and it shows up as expected. It would be great if you could help me repro the case where apps don't show up.
Thank you!

@alekhyareddy28 these apps are install after PowerToys and it will show up on the start menu.
Last night I use scoop install cmder to install cmder successfully and it shows up on the start menu.

Thank you for getting back @yeung66. There are two issues here, first apps that are installed after installing PowerToys don't show up and second, the run command apps (like cmder, mmc) don't show up. These issues are not related to scoop in particular. @crutkas, do we close this issue then? Issues #2407 and #4200 are already tracking them.
