[FancyZones] Dragging to edge of screen could bring up the FancyZones overlay, instead of default Windows snap overlay #4886
Comments
I've been using FancyZones for several minutes for my 21:9 display, and I already miss this feature. It would be awesome to permanently replace the built-in 50:50 (I work with a simple 1:2 layout). |
@mortalvombat Shift+dragging should work for you. |
It does not work. If I push my window against the screen edge, it still snaps it to the built-in 50% area :( and it does not work at all with Visual Studio. Microsoft's flagship productivity tool for professionals. Yay. |
For the screen edge do snap into the Windows built-in zone, the linking issue is #13644 and this is a suggested enhancement for FanzyZones. |
Summary of the new feature/enhancement
Currently when dragging a window to an edge of a monitor, the window will snap to Windows' default snap positions.
It would be pretty cool if FancyZones could override this interaction to snap to a FancyZone
