Win + Arrow does not override Windows Snap #8381

  • PowerToy Utility:
  • Running PowerToys as Admin: No
  • Windows build number: 10.0.21262.1000

📝 Provide detailed reproduction steps (if any)

  1. Check Override Windows Snap behaviors
  • Override Windows Snap shortcut (Win + Arrow) to move windows between zones
    • Move windows based on their position
    • Move windows between zones across all monitors
  1. Use the Windows Snap shortcuts

✔️ Expected result

Window moves between zones.

❌ Actual result

Window moves between monitors as before.

this works for me. what are your zones?

Remember, if there isn't a zone adjacent, it snaps to the next monitor. Example, if monitor 1 has a horizontal grid, it would always just send to the other monitor since there is no zone to the left of the current zone.

One monitor has 3 zones and the other has 1 defined as the whole area.

  • monitor 1 is above monitor 2.
  • 3 column for monitor 1
  • Monitor 1 is full screen but created via Canvas.

I can't repro on my computer here

I saw the issue on Paulo's computer via teams however

Just incase it matters, he has a dell 4919dw monitor

After a few firmware and system updates to the SurfaceBook 2, it's now working.
