Hi All,

When using the WSL recently, I am starting to see high CPU usage (and a slow computer due to it) when using WSL in vscode, but also sometimes the Bash process itself.

I can easily replicate this in vscode, but it's harder to replicate the Bash file cpu process in the Task Manager.

Windows Version: 10.0.17686.1003

See more details here:

microsoft/vscode#51724

Is that only with vscode? Does simple cmd.exe or wsl.exe takes that much resources?

Hi @Biswa96,

It seems that wsl.exe also sometimes does this, I just encountered it mostly in vscode since this is where I am in the most :) however when I used the wsl.exe I had it one time that the "Bash" process was also giving the same CPU bug

If it is "recent" this is probably possibly #3191

This should be fixed in Insider Build 17704.
