New files/folders add to the project are not reflected as pending changes

I'm trying to add new files to my project through new file menu in vscode but these files are not appear in the included changes section
I need to open visual studio and from the source control explorer explorer manually I added them then the files appeared in the included changes section in vscode
every time I need to create file/folder ,I need to add it also from visual studio source control explorer
so I can checkin from vscode
Any help for this ?

I'm experiencing the same issue. added new files that are not reflecting in the included changes.

I found them in the excluded changes,just look at the bottom of this section you will find the new files and the deleted one also.
